The 2014 Galaxy Community Conference will start with a Training Day on June 30, followed by two full days of accepted talks, keynotes, lightning talks, poster sessions, birds-of-a-feather sessions, and networking time.

As in past years, talks will cover a wide range of biology, bioinformatics, and informatics. Talks will be grouped and scheduled in sessions focusing on particular topics.

GCC2014 Training Day

Day 0: Training Day, June 30

The 2014 Galaxy Community Conference (GCC2014) will start on June 30 with a Training Day featuring parallel tracks, each with several multiple-hour workshops.

Topics were nominated and then voted on by the Galaxy Community. There are 15 sessions covering 12 topics, offered in 5 parallel tracks. Workshops are hands-on and participants will be strongly encouraged to bring a laptop and follow along. Workshop content and prerequisites are described on the Training Day page.

Birds-of-a-Feather Flock Together Damnit!

Birds of a Feather (BoF) Gatherings

There is no better place than a Galaxy Community Conference to meet and learn from others doing high-throughput biology. GCC2014 will include Birds of a Feather (BoF) meetups throughout the event, including times each day that are specifically set aside for BoF flocking. Birds of a Feather meetups are informal gatherings where participants group together based on common interests.

If you have an idea for a Birds-of-a-Feather gathering then please add it to the list of BoFs. The event organizers will fully promote all meetups on all topics.
