Jetstream2 + Galaxy = 518 VGP assemblies
IU-led Jetstream2 cloud computing and the Galaxy platform power the Vertebrate Genomes Project to produce 272 near error-free genome assemblies across 271 species.
Using Galaxy & TIaaS to teach hands-on genome assembly and annotation
On Feb. 27 to Mar. 3, we (several VGP-associated instructors) used the UseGalaxy EU infrastructure to aid in teaching an online Physalia course of 40+ students how to assemble and annotate their own genome from their browser.
